The K61 MIDI Controller Goes Where You Go!
Remember how expensive MIDI controllers used to be? Not any more thanks to Korg's newest USB/MIDI controllers. Each one features solid, full-sized keys and a selection of four velocity curves to match every user's style. Available in 25, 49 and 61 key versions, each provide easy access to the full range of notes thanks to a simple key transpose function. Each of the three comes with pitch bend and mod wheels, along with Korg's innovative ClickPoint, which performs double duty as an X/Y joystick or a USB mouse that will let you navigate easily through your soft synths or DAW software. Using the free editor software that ships with each of the K-Series keyboards, you can create and save all your custom controller settings (called Scene mode). As a bonus, each K-Series controller also ships with M1 Le software.

5-octave velocity sensitive keyboard with fast synth action
The K61 is the 'big boy' among the Korg K-Series USB/MIDI controllers, yet it's still remarkably lightweight. Everything starts with a five-octave, velocity sensitive keyboard with full sized keys and fast synth-style action. Users can select from four velocity curves (including a fixed level), so each player can adjust the K61 to his or her own individual playing style.
Octave shift keys provide access to full range of notes
Though the Korg K61 has only 61 keys (a grand piano has 88), a special octave shift function lets users quickly access the entire range of notes from the lowest bass to the highest treble notes. The goal here was to create a lightweight, full-featured controller that's easy enough to carry with you wherever you go. The five-octave keyboard allowed Korg to accomplish this goal without sacrificing any features. And by powering the K61 with a standard USB connector, you can make music anywhere you can carry your laptop.
Onboard controllers include pitch bend, mod wheel and ClickPoint
The entire K-Series of USB/MIDI controllers has a wide array of controllers that will even make pro users happy. There are pitch bend and modulation wheels, just like on Korg's RADIAS, MS2000B and microKORG keyboards. Is a joystick more to your liking? The Korg K61 comes with ClickPoint, which performs double duty, either as an X/Y joystick or as a USB mouse, which will allow you to navigate through your soft synths or DAW software. ClickPoint is a three-axis, spring loaded, fingertip joystick/trackball that's hard to describe, but easy to use. An assortment of switches, sliders and knobs can be assigned to any function users might choose.
Free editing software lets users create and save custom presets
You can use the bundled editing software to create and save custom controller assignments (called 'Scenes'). Simply load in the Scene that matches your particular application into the K25, K49 or K61 and you're ready to go. No need to manually reassign each controller - what a time saver! Pre-programmed template scenes are included that will control many popular soft synths and music production software. As you'd expect, it's fully Mac and PC compatible. How cool is that?
All K-Series Controllers come with M1 Le software synth
All of the K-Series controllers - the K25, K49 and K61 - come with the best-selling synth of all time! That's right, Korg is throwing in a software version of its best selling synth, the M1, which began the entire workstation concept. This software version reproduces the sound of the classic M1 while also taking advantage of the power of your computer. It contains all the presets and waveforms of the original, while a new browser/search function makes it easy to find the perfect sound. The M1 Le can be used in standalone mode or as an RTAS, VST or AudioUnits plug-in. Of course, it's Mac and PC compatible.
