As a long-time avid Sims fan and having owned all 3 previous base games and several of the accompanying expansion packs many moons ago, I was nostalgically excited to see that Sims 4 was being released. However the hefty price tag and the product reviews made me think twice about purchasing it. After discussing this with my fellow sim-obsessed siblings we got reminiscing about the old games and it gave me a huge urge to play it again. Sims 2 was always my favourite and so I decided to scour amazon for a copy of good old The Sims 2. Reasonably priced as it is now a bit old I found it was even better value to buy it as the deluxe version which comes with the base game and Night Life. It was delivered quickly and was well packaged. I had a fantastic lazy Sunday re-exploring some old characters and their interlocking stories. It ran perfectly on my laptop with zero issues and I think personally its even better than number 3 in terms of customisation and lack of laggy game play. That's not to say I won't give number 4 when it's a tad more decently priced, but for now I will have great fun old-school style!
